for the 53 attenders. They were curious how they could bump up their impact and learn how to better disciple others.

I had met with a few of the pastors and church leaders a couple months past. Maranatha had just recently sent 200 members to start another church. A number of mature members had left in that group. What they were sensing is that they needed to prepare more people for leadership positions.

The clinic that I was going to run was called The Alongsider. It is fast paced,

participatory workshop. We cover the biblical and relational skills needed to invest in others. By the end of the day attenders have a number of action steps they can implement right away.

Jim Creed attended not only this Clinic, but also the one I ran this past fall. Here’s what he wrote to me about the day.

Dane, thank you so much for all your help, knowledge and expertise in
Maranatha’s first Alongsider Workshop.  The response from the
participants has been tremendous!

The material covered, the exercises and the discussion that followed
were all excellent.  We had huge expectations for the workshop, but
found that the results truly exceeded what we had hoped for.  Isn’t
that just like God!

Participants got to know each other and practice new skills.

After attending the workshop, seasoned, mature believers were
revitalized as to the real meaning of the Great Commission and left
the seminar focused on how they can individually impact lives for
Christ.

It is exciting to watch God use the lessons you taught us as you came
“alongside” Maranatha.

We have already scheduled follow-up for those who want/need additional
training and the best news is we are working on scheduling another,
larger workshop in the fall.

It is a FACT, the Ways of the Alongsider is a life changer!

What a privilege to assist a church in building disciples that make disciples. I can’t wait to see how this impacts Maranatha in the coming year.

I am looking forward to our next Alongsider Clinic on April 12th in Green. Contact us for more details by clicking on the link.
