So how would you make one million disciplemakers? That is the question we are asking these days in The Navigators. We have set ourselves on a course to build one million disciplemakers by 2030! The part I am playing includes both my national and local roles. Here’s how I’m working at it!

Here are a few of the pieces to my national role. I have been serving as interim since last November however, now I serve as Navigators Church Ministries Lead.

Lead Team

We provide leadership, supervision and alignment for our NCM staff. Cedric, Don, Dennis and I meet weekly to coordinate our efforts as we seek to help NCM fulfill our One Million Disciplemakers Strategy by 2030.

Growing Intentional Disciplemaking Cultures

I started with the Navs testing and implementing our latest disciplemaking process with Bill Mowry and Lou Damiani. Now we are reorganizing how we make it more accessible to staff throughout the Navigators and even those disciplemakers not on staff. We are working and praying we will have 100 folks trained or in process by next year.

We are also partnering with the Reveal Survey folks helping churches consider their results for their congregation. We then assist them to dream how they can build a culture with our GiDC. See more at this link.

Life and Leadership Coaching

My role with our coaching is to ensure Debi Zaas and her team have all the necessary resources of staff, leadership and funding. I also serve as a mentor coach to enable others to become certified coaches, as well as coach five pastors. See our coaching process at this link.

Disciplemakers for Life Workgroup

My new boss Al Engler leads this group. I am on the executive team representing NCM. Four Navigator ministries are working together to find synergistic strategies that will propel us towards our one million disciplemakers. We serve in a variety of locales: churches, neighborhoods, under resourced communities and workplaces. We all desire to see disciples made everywhere.
