It has been a good summer of preparing for the fall. There is lots of items and events on the schedule. Here’s three I want to highlight for you.

  1. Akron Disciplemakers. Discipling others offers plenty of roadblocks. People are unique. What will propel them forward spiritually is not always clear. I share that same challenge in my ministry. One of the ideas I’ve had on mind for a while is gathering a few disciplemakers around Akron to energize and equip them …and myself to more effective discipling. I’ve asked my friend Andy Meeker to share his insights of a lifetime of making disciples. He’s a guy that never fails to get me moving again. October 21st is the date. If interested check out this link.
  2. Love Your Neighbor. We all know Jesus’s command to love our neighbor but how can we do this in practical ways? The Navigators’ Love Your Neighbor seminar will provide people with a vision and practical helps to love our neighbors. Join us to learn how to turn Jesus’s second command into a reality. As my former boss used to say, “How do we weave a web of love throughout our neighborhood.” Relationships, love and graciousness are the building blocks to help those around us know and experience Christ. Join us for the day in Columbus on October 15th at Eastside Grace Church. Sign up at this link.
  3. discipleship.org Forum. We have been asked to lead four workshops at this disciplemaking conference. So many of the best minds in disciplemaking are there. It’s a privilege to be to take part in it. Myself and three other staff will be presenting our four part series on the foundation of a disciplemaking core team. Consider joining us or inviting your pastor on Oct 5-6 in Nashville.

Thank you for partnering with me in this endeavor. Our Navigators Church Ministries team is working to see “Every church, sending everyday disciplemakers, to transform their everywhere.”
